The project is focused on the development of diversity content, strengthening of the constructive role of media in interethnic dialog, improvement of professional skills of journalists when covering cultural, language, religious, ethnic diversity issues.
Within five days, 20 selected participants will be trained to produce unbiased reports about multicultural society, improve their knowledge of ethical standards, and develop their skills of using multimedia technologies.
During the training, journalists will be highly motivated for creation of quality content and promotion of diversity ideas. Finally, they will be given a chance to take part in the call for proposals for a technical assistance grant for implementation of projects focused on diversity.
Media experts from USA, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan experienced in multicultural and ethnic journalism and production of up-to-date on-line content are invited as trainers.
The event will be held in Bishkek, July 7-11, 2014. All expenses are paid by the organizers.
